Why Parents Go to Work
Because I go to work from 7 to 4, sometimes I get criticism from our little one.
“Mom, please do not go to work.”
“Dear, I have to go.”
“Why?”
“Because I have to earn money.”
“What for?”
“To buy your milk.”
I repeat the same sentences over and over again until one day …
“Mom, I don’t want you to go o work.”
“Well, I have to earn money to buy your milk.”
“You can withdraw from the ATM machine.”
OK, so now I have to improvise and introduce a new line.
“Well … I have to work, so I can earn money, so I can feed the ATM machine. Otherwise the machine would be empty and we can withdraw nothing from it.”
This afternoon, as I rest at home because of my sore throat, I overheard two toddlers playing and telling stories.
“You know, my mom’s ATM is empty.”
“How come? My parents’ is not.”
Can you imagine how this story will develop thru times as the technology advances?
