To me, 26 October 2008 was a historical date. Not because of something heroic happened, but because that was the first day of rainy season in Paiton. For so many months we suffered from the draught. Even wells did not produce enough service water.
For a reason I do not know, this area is drier than any other area on this side of Jawa island. Even Kraksaan, Besuki and elsewhere have had their rain some weeks ago. I always have this fantasy that I or my family will be able to plant something as our contribution to resolve global warming problem but hmm … something is just not right. Is it the air too salty because of its proximity with the beach?
